Virtual Scratch Map
The Virtual Scratch Map lets you scratch off countries on an interactive world map and reveal your travel progress. It’s a fun way to track visited places, create a “reveal” game, or share your adventures online.
Scratch the map with your cursor or finger, then take a screenshot to save or share the result.

How it works
This interactive scratch map uses a scratch-off layer on top of a world map. When you move your cursor (or finger on mobile), the top layer is removed to reveal the map underneath.
How to use it:
- Drag your cursor or finger across the map to “scratch” visited countries.
- Reveal as much or as little as you want. You control the progress.
- Take a screenshot to save or share your scratched map.
- Refresh the page anytime to reset and start over.
Your progress is not stored on a server, so the map stays private unless you choose to share it.
Example uses
The virtual scratch map is useful for travel and fun interactive activities:
- Tracking countries you have visited or lived in
- Creating a travel challenge (e.g., “scratch one new country per year”)
- Making a fun reveal game for friends or an audience
- Using it in classrooms to teach geography interactively
- Sharing your travel progress on Instagram, YouTube, or Discord
It’s the scratch-off map experience without the foil mess and with an instant reset.

Can I save my progress on the map?
Since we prioritize your privacy, we don’t store your data on our servers. To save your map, we recommend taking a high-quality screenshot of your progress.
Is the map geographically accurate?
Our map uses a simplified vector design for better performance and “scratching” feel, making it perfect for visual tracking and fun activities.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes! You can use your finger as a “coin” to scratch the surface on any touchscreen device, making the experience even more realistic.
